Soccer Game Preview: Skyline vs. Leadership

The Skyline Titans will square off against Leadership at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Skyline is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Monday just wasn't the day for Skyline's offense. They came up short against Fremont last Monday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1055th, while the Tigers are ranked 302nd).

Meanwhile, Leadership kept a clean sheet against Oakland Tech on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Bulldogs out 1-0.

Leadership is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those six contests. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
