Basketball Recap: River Mill Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

River Mill Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 43-22 to the Oxford Prep Griffins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Griffins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-12 back in November.

Malaika Kavul was River Mill Academy's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Kavul also led the team in assists with three. Jaela Lambert held things down on the boards with ten rebounds.

River Mill Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Oxford Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

River Mill Academy has already played their next matchup, a 27-25 defeat against Woods Charter on the 9th. As for Oxford Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 46-29 loss against Discovery Charter School on the 10th.
