Recap: Tuscarora Titans vs. Williamsport Wildcats
The Tuscarora Titans fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Williamsport Wildcats on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 54-45 to the Wildcats. Tuscarora lost against Williamsport in their previous head to head back in February of 2015, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 71-28 score last time.
Despite the loss, Tuscarora still got an impressive performance from Laney Barton, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Barton hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Even though they lost, Tuscarora smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. This was only their tenth loss (out of 16 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Tuscarora's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Williamsport, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Tuscarora won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Williamsport on February 8th. Hopefully Tuscarora focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Wednesday. Williamsport is on the road again on Thursday and plays Tuscarora on February 8th.
