Basketball Game Preview: River Valley Falcons vs. Nevada Union Miners

The River Valley Falcons will square off against the Nevada Union Miners at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, River Valley had to suffer through a 80-50 loss at the hands of Placer. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while the Hillmen are ranked 82nd).

Meanwhile, Nevada Union hadn't done well against Yuba City recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Nevada Union secured a 62-58 W over Yuba City. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Miners as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Nevada Union, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
