After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bruton, Northampton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Franklin Broncos 17-1. The victory continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won nine in a row.
Trent Ferebee made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ferebee was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).
In other batting news, Riley Carpenter and Brock Leland did most of the damage at the plate: Carpenter scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Leland scored two runs and stole four bases.
