Softball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hammond Bishop Noll on Saturday, Highland came back down to earth. The Trojans came up short against the Hobart Brickies on Tuesday, falling 11-4. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Brickies earlier this season, when they won 14-8.

Erica Phillips made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Hobart, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Highland is set to face off against their familiar foe Kankakee Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hobart will square off against rival Hanover Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
