Volleyball Game Preview: Rodriguez Mustangs vs. Wood Wildcats

The Rodriguez Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Wood Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Rodriguez came up short against River City on Friday, falling 3-0.

Rodriguez took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Wood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Vanden.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-12, 25-18.

Wood's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Rodriguez, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Everything went Rodriguez's way against Wood when the teams last played back in March, as Rodriguez made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
