Basketball Game Preview: Hilliard Red Flashes vs. Fort White Indians

Hilliard is 8-2 against Fort White since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Hilliard Red Flashes will take on the Fort White Indians at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Hilliard comes in on three and Fort White on ten.

Hilliard is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They skirted past Trenton 57-54. Given the Red Flashes' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Tigers are ranked 340th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cj Hall continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6-for-13 to rack up 20 points and eight rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Dj Alderman, who posted 11 points.

Meanwhile, Fort White posted their closest victory since December 28, 2024 on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Madison County, sneaking past 46-44.

Hilliard better keep an eye on Tafari Moe. He was instrumental in Fort White's win, going 9-for-19 en route to 26 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Jackspn, who scored 11 points.

Hilliard's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Fort White, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.

Keep an eye on the arc in Monday's contest: Hilliard has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 37% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Fort White, though, as they've only made 24.9% of their three-pointers this season. Given Hilliard's sizable advantage in that area, Fort White will need to find a way to close that gap.
