Lincoln has no trouble against Woodland Christian

The Lincoln Fighting Zebras's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down Woodland Christian 70-52.

Woodland Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Thomas, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. Romello Bruhn was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds.

Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Woodland Christian, their defeat ended a 16-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will take on Oakmont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakmont will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 706th, while Lincoln is ranked 331st). As for Woodland Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Futures at 7:30 p.m.
