Softball Recap: Page Gets the Win

Page won the last time they faced Ganado and things went their way on Monday too. The Page Sand Devils walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Ganado Hornets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sand Devils.

Leah Bigthumb spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 14 Ks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Makenna Nez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Vanona Long was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

The win got Page back to even at 3-3. As for Ganado, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Page will face off against Monument Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ganado, they will host Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
