Basketball Recap: Boyden-Hull's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

Boyden-Hull lost against MOC-Floyd Valley back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Boyden-Hull Comets fell 68-56 to the MOC-Floyd Valley Dutchmen. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Dutchmen are ranked 28th).

With the loss, Boyden-Hull broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4. As for MOC-Floyd Valley, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Boyden-Hull will challenge Unity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for MOC-Floyd Valley, they will face off against Central Lyon at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. MOC-Floyd Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matches -- so hopefully Central Lyon likes a good challenge.
