Volleyball Game Preview: Menomonee Falls Phoenix vs. Germantown Warhawks + How To Watch

The Menomonee Falls Phoenix are taking a road trip to face off against the Germantown Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Menomonee Falls will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Menomonee Falls is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wisconsin's top teams: Hamilton, who was ranked third at the time (Menomonee Falls was ranked fifth). The Phoenix blew past the Chargers 3-0 on Tuesday. The Phoenix not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23rd (when they won 3-0).

Menomonee Falls never let Hamilton on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-22.

Cassie Bruns was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and two aces.

Bruns wasn't the only good servers: Menomonee Falls was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Meanwhile, Germantown came up short against Divine Savior Holy Angels on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Warhawks haven't had much luck with Divine Savior Holy Angels recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-13, 25-12.

Germantown's defeat dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Menomonee Falls, their win bumped their record up to 27-8.

Menomonee Falls took their victory against Germantown in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Phoenix since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
