Auburn has no trouble against Roanoke Catholic

The Auburn Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They wrapped up 2023 with a 82-68 victory over Roanoke Catholic. The victory was some much needed relief for Auburn as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Roanoke Catholic still got an impressive performance from Demarcus Brown, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The matchup was Brown's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Johnson, who scored 19 points.
The win got Auburn back to even at 4-4. As for Roanoke Catholic, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Auburn will head out on the road to face off against Grayson County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Roanoke Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next game is against William Byrd at 2:30 p.m. on December 29th. William Byrd presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Roanoke Catholic in Virginia (William Byrd is ranked 73rd, while Roanoke Catholic is ranked 245th).
