Softball Recap: Atlanta Sets Scoring Season-High Against Liberty-Eylau

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Atlanta). They blew past the Liberty-Eylau Leopards 24-4 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Rabbits, who have now won eight matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Carlajah Adger was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one double. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Davis, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Atlanta hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.

The win snapped Atlanta's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 12-7-1 record. As for Liberty-Eylau, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Coincidentally, Atlanta and Liberty-Eylau will both be playing New Boston the next time they take the field. Liberty-Eylau will head out to face New Boston at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Atlanta will host them at 5:30 p.m. on March 25th.
