White River Valley and Shakamak squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but White River Valley had to settle for second. They came up short against the Lakers, falling 3-0. The Wolverines' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why White River Valley lost, don't look at Zyleigh Abrams-Condol. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs and one assist. Abrams-Condol is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

White River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Shakamak, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-7.

White River Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shakamak, after both having extra time off, they and Loogootee will shake off the rust and duke it out at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
