Recap: Calhoun Academy Cavaliers vs. Clarendon Hall Saints
After flying high against the King's Academy Lions last Friday, The Calhoun Academy Cavaliers came back down to earth. Calhoun Academy was outmatched by Clarendon Hall at home and fell 32-2. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, Calhoun Academy couldn't push the score so high this time.
Darius Aiken was his usual excellent self, rushing for 177 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Aiken hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for eight straight games.
Calhoun Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Clarendon Hall, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-2.
Calhoun Academy will take on Dorchester Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dorchester Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Clarendon Hall, they will be playing at home against St. John's Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (St. John's Christian Academy is ranked 217th, while Clarendon Hall is ranked 203rd).
