Batavia had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They snuck past the Eastridge Lancers with an 83-79 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-52 back in December of 2024.

Batavia pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.3 points per game. As for Eastridge, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.

Batavia and Eastridge should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. Batavia will challenge Honeoye Falls-Lima at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 416 places (150 vs. 566). Similarly, Eastridge (ranked 291st) will meet Brockport (ranked 647th) at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
