Evansville Central extends home winning streak to 11

Recap: Evansville Central Bears vs. Tecumseh Braves

The Evansville Central Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 78-61 win over Tecumseh. Winning may never get old, but Evansville Central sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Evansville Central was led to victory by Mimi White and Mya Skelton. White scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Skelton went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 1 assists. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Lindsey Laine, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and six assists.

Evansville Central pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.55 points. As for Tecumseh, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evansville Central will take on Mt. Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Vernon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 375th, while Evansville Central is ranked 55th). Tecumseh will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Evansville North at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st.
