Basketball Game Preview: Upper Arlington Golden Bears vs. New Albany Eagles

The Upper Arlington Golden Bears will square off against the New Albany Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Upper Arlington will head out to face New Albany after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. Upper Arlington took a hard 68-53 fall against Dublin Coffman. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Golden Bears came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Shamrocks are ranked 137th).

Meanwhile, New Albany came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 52-48 W over the Panthers.

Upper Arlington's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3. As for New Albany, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Upper Arlington suffered a grim 76-53 defeat to New Albany in their previous meeting back in December of 2014. Can Upper Arlington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
