Softball Recap: York Drops Season-High Score on Richland Northeast

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask York). They never let the Richland Northeast Cavaliers get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Tuesday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Emma Ferrell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ferrell was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyvia Lingerfelt, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Izabelle Ramsey also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

York was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richland Northeast only posted a batting average of .000.

York's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Richland Northeast, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, York will venture away from home to square off against Broome at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Richland Northeast, they will take on York at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
