Softball Recap: Dexter Comes Up Short

Dexter lost to New Madrid County Central back in April of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bearcats lost 18-1 to the Eagles.

Dexter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Melanie Pfeffer, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Dexter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for New Madrid County Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dexter will welcome Advance at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for New Madrid County Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Holcomb at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
