Volleyball Recap: Keely Cadwell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Velva over Glenburn

After a string of three wins, Velva's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 3-1 to the Glenburn Panther. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panther this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 2nd.

Velva lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Keely Cadwell, who had 17 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 17 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brynlee Zieman, who had 16 digs.

Velva's loss dropped their record down to 18-13-2. As for Glenburn, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

As of now, neither Velva nor the Panther have any future games scheduled.
