Basketball Game Preview: Baker County Wildcats vs. Middleburg Broncos + Official Tickets

The Baker County Wildcats will face off against the Middleburg Broncos at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Middleburg took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Baker County, who comes in off a win.

Last Saturday, Baker County blew past First Coast, posting a 50-14 victory. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly 36 points.

Yamise Haygood was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double with 21 points and 13 steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 23 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Holland, who posted six points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Middleburg scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 66-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Orange Park. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Baker County has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 29 points this season. As for Middleburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Baker County strolled past Middleburg when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 52-36. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
