Softball Recap: Westinghouse's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Westinghouse waltzed into their match on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the North Grand Eagle Owls by a score of 15-11. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 25-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Emily Coleman was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted five or more RBI the last four times she's played. Jocelyn Lewis was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs.

Westinghouse's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for North Grand, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Westinghouse will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagle Owls: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
