Softball Recap: Bloomington Takes a Loss

Bloomington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 17-0 to the East Peoria Raiders. If the Purple Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 11-5 to the Raiders when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bloomington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for East Peoria, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Bloomington and East Peoria will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Purple Raiders will take on rival Normal Community at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, East Peoria is set to square off against their familiar foe Limestone at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
