Volleyball Recap: Ridley Takes a Loss

If Ridley was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Coatesville on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders came up short against the Radnor Raptors on Monday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Raptors: they've now lost three in a row.

While Ridley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-23.

Reilly Kienzle paced Ridley's offense, picking up 13 kills. Kienzle got some help from Izzy Verlinghieri and her 23 assists. Finally, Katie Borcky and Ava Caton kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.

Ridley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Radnor, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Ridley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Radnor, they will take on Gwynedd Mercy Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
