Basketball Game Preview: Johnson Jaguars vs. East Central Hornets

The Johnson Jaguars will take on the East Central Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Johnson was beaten by Clemens 79-40. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 524th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 120th).

Meanwhile, East Central entered their tilt with Canyon on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Cougars, posting a 100-60 win.

East Central pushed their record up to 20-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.8 points per game. As for Johnson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.
