Volleyball Recap: Soroco Gets the Win + How To Watch

Soroco hadn't done well against Grand Valley recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cardinals. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Soroco was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 17-25, 25-23, 25-15.

Kolbie Pierce paced Soroco's offense, picking up 14 kills. Pierce got some help from Makinly Long and her 21 assists. Long was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Soroco's record now sits at 2-0. As for Grand Valley, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Soroco will challenge Caprock Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Grand Valley, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Rangely at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
