Football Recap: Lyons/Sodus Skates Past Waterloo with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lyons/Sodus). They blew past the Waterloo Tigers 38-0 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory was the third in a row for Lyons/Sodus, bringing their record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.0 points on average over those games. As for Waterloo, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Lyons/Sodus will welcome Midlakes on Thursday. The Screaming Eagles' defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so Lyons/Sodus' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Waterloo, they will head out to take on Whitman/Bloomfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
