Recap: Utica Chieftains vs. Lake Shore Shorians
The Utica Chieftains put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Lake Shore 63-42. Utica has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Mason Brodi, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Soriano, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Utica pushed their record up to 16-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lake Shore, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Utica will take on the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Shore, they will be playing at home against the Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sterling Heights has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 454 points over their last seven contests.
