Holy Cross's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the New Braunfels Thunder Homeschool. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The win didn't come easy: New Braunfels Thunder scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 22-25, 27-25, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why New Braunfels Thunder lost, don't look at Hailey Dyer. Despite the final result, she had 27 digs and two assists.

Holy Cross' victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for New Braunfels Thunder, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-6-1.

Holy Cross and New Braunfels Thunder should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Knights (ranked 297th) will meet New Braunfels Christian Academy (ranked 893rd) at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, New Braunfels Thunder will challenge DaVinci at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (302 vs. 709).
