Football Game Preview: Gordo Green Wave vs. Piedmont Bulldogs + How To Watch

Two dominant wideouts in Ryder Robertson and Rollie Pinto are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Gordo Green Wave will take on the Piedmont Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Gordo is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 49-29 margin over Colbert County. The victory was familiar territory for the Green Wave, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Meanwhile, Piedmont never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fyffe 36-0. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Red Devils are ranked 86th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Piedmont's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Gordo, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.

Gordo couldn't quite get it done against Piedmont in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 as they fell 27-14. Can the Green Wave avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
