After a string of three wins, Grossmont's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Woodbridge Warriors. If the Foothillers were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Alexis Holman paced Grossmont's offense, picking up seven kills. Holman got some help from Mila Moyer and her 17 assists. Moyer also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Imani Hayes, racking up two apiece.

Grossmont's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Woodbridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-9-1.

Looking ahead, Grossmont will face off against Southwest EC at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Woodbridge, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against University at 5:15 p.m. on the 25th.
