Basketball Recap: Mount Pleasant Comes Up Short

Mount Pleasant lost against West Rowan back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mount Pleasant Tigers took a 41-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Rowan Falcons. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 13-5 in the first quarter.

Mount Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for West Rowan, the victory snapped their losing streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 1-12 record.

Mount Pleasant and West Rowan could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Mount Pleasant (ranked 337th) will meet Southwestern Randolph (ranked 48th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, West Rowan will face off against Lake Norman Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 330 places (568 vs. 238).
