Basketball Recap: Chugiak Starts Season with Victory Against Redington

Chugiak had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed by the Redington Huskies to the tune of 63-24. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Mustangs have posted since December 15, 2023.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chugiak and Holy Rosary Academy will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. As for Redington, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Susitna Valley at 6:30 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
