Basketball Recap: McIntosh Takes a Loss

McIntosh was the 66-28 winner over Banneker when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The McIntosh Chiefs received a blow on Saturday as they fell 60-41 to the Banneker Trojans. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McIntosh's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Banneker, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season.

McIntosh and Banneker could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. McIntosh will take on Morrow at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 252 places (295 vs. 43). Similarly, Banneker (ranked 343rd) will meet Langston Hughes (ranked fourth) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
