Baseball Recap: Sandusky Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Sandusky owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Ubly Bearcats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Ubly's batters probably weren't too happy with Jack Betts, who pitched a no hitter and racked up eight Ks (he gave up a single walk). Betts has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nathaniel Tovar, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Reinke, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Sandusky's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Ubly, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Sandusky will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bearcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
