Carondelet took Foothill into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-20, 25-13, 20-25, 15-12.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carondelet to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Hylen, who had 22 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Hylen has posted since back in October of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeline Lopoz, who had ten digs and 21 assists.
Meanwhile, Dublin posted their biggest victory since August 29th on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Granada.
While Dublin won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-23, 25-16.
Dublin had a senior duo take command as Sophia Casanas had 16 digs and Emily Mao had 18 assists. Those 18 assists set a new season-high mark for Mao.
Carondelet pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Dublin, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
