Basketball Game Preview: Discovery Titans vs. Mountain View Bears

The Discovery Titans will challenge the Mountain View Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Discovery and ten for Mountain View.

Discovery is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Buford on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Discovery was dealt a 69-29 defeat at the hands of Buford. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-9.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-33, which was the final score in Mountain View's tilt against Mill Creek on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 428th, while the Hawks are ranked 71st).

Discovery's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-22.

Everything came up roses for Discovery against Mountain View in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured a 60-12 victory. Will Discovery repeat their success, or does Mountain View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
