Basketball Game Preview: West Mesquite Wranglers vs. Mesquite Skeeters

West Mesquite hasn't had much luck against Mesquite recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wranglers will head out to take on the Skeeters at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

West Mesquite is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Ennis on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wranglers lost 60-38 to the Lions.

Meanwhile, Mesquite took a blow against Sunnyvale on Saturday, falling 56-21. The matchup marked the Skeeters' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

West Mesquite's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mesquite, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

West Mesquite took a serious blow against Mesquite in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 62-20. Can the Wranglers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
