Volleyball Game Preview: Malden Golden Tornados vs. Everett Crimson Tide

Malden is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Everett an eight-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Malden Golden Tornados will look to defend their home court against the Everett Crimson Tide at 5:30 p.m. Everett took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Malden, who comes in off a win.

Malden took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Medford, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Golden Tornados narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Mustangs 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Tornados have posted since October 25, 2024.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Everett and Revere, and Revere kept the tradition alive. The Crimson Tide came up short against the Patriots on Wednesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Crimson Tide have suffered against the Patriots since September 28, 2022.

While Everett ultimately came up short, they really made Revere work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 29-27, 25-21.

Malden now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Everett, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
