Volleyball Recap: Lake Mills L-Cats vs. Jefferson Eagles
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lake Mills had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Jefferson Eagles. The victory was some much needed relief for the L-Cats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
While Lake Mills won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-14.
Lyndsey Bender paced Lake Mills' offense, picking up ten kills. Bender got some help from
Debra Bruce and her 20 assists. Bender was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Lake Mills' win bumped their record up to 18-16. As for Jefferson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-23.
Lake Mills has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Stoughton on the 24th. Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
