Fayetteville fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 29-25 W against the Alabama School for the Deaf Silent Warriors. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Silent Warriors back in December of 2024, they had to take a 42-29 defeat.

Despite the loss, Alabama School for the Deaf saw an underclassman step up: freshman Aiyana Fanning almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. Fanning has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Angel Maddox, who posted no points in addition to ten boards and three steals.

Fayetteville's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Alabama School for the Deaf, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Fayetteville has already played their next matchup, a 41-7 victory against Notasulga on the 31st. As for Alabama School for the Deaf, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-34 loss against Jacksonville Christian Academy on the 30th.
