            While University's  win against Hampshire wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. University had just enough and edged out Hampshire  11-9. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  victory against them.

 Max Cash
 Max Cash made a big impact no matter where he played. He  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He also  tossed  no  walks, which is notable because University is undefeated when he allows at  most  one  walk, but 0-4 otherwise. Cash was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Curtis Quarrick was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.  Brock Shuba was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with two  stolen bases.
University's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Hampshire,  they are  on  an  11-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: University beat Hampshire by a score of  9-1 later that day.
