Soccer Game Preview: Appleton West vs. Kimberly

Appleton West is 0-10 against Kimberly since April of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Terrors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Papermaker Wasp at 6:00 p.m. Appleton West's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Appleton West is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Xavier on Thursday. The Terrors fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Appleton West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Xavier are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, Kimberly fell victim to Waunakee and their airtight defense on Saturday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 1-0. The loss was Kimberly's first of the season.

Appleton West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5-2. As for Kimberly, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.

Appleton West couldn't quite get it done against Kimberly when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Terrors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
