Basketball Recap: Pierre T.F. Riggs Takes a Loss

If Pierre T.F. Riggs was feeling good fresh off their 66-39 takedown of Lincoln last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pierre T.F. Riggs Governors took a 70-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jefferson Cavaliers on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Governors of the 45-41 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Pierre T.F. Riggs' loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Jefferson, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Coming up, Pierre T.F. Riggs will square off against Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Aberdeen Central at 7:00 p.m. Aberdeen Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Jefferson surely won't give up without a fight.
