Recap: Lake Worth Trojans vs. Boca Raton Bobcats
The Lake Worth Trojans lost against the Boca Raton Bobcats back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lake Worth had to suffer through a rough 35-6 loss at the hands of Boca Raton. Lake Worth has struggled against Boca Raton recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
King Pierce and Vaughn Braynen certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Pierce rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown, while Braynen rushed for 103 yards.
The critical scores for Boca Raton came from James Fischer and Jordan Davis.
The team won by holding Lake Worth to a paltry no rushing yards and no passing yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Boca Raton's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out three times before it was all said and done. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Lavar Jamison.
Lake Worth's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Boca Raton, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Lake Worth will play host again and welcome Boynton Beach, where Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Boynton Beach has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since August 25. As for Boca Raton, they will head out on the road to face off against Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
