Baseball Recap: Apache Junction Extends Winning Streak to Six

Apache Junction took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Florence, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Apache Junction won by a run and slipped past Florence 4-3. While the Prospectors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Aidan Mead tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Connor Trisoliere, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
