Basketball Game Preview: Cienega Bobcats vs. Mountain View Mountain Lions + How To Watch

The Cienega Bobcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Mountain View Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Cienega, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Cienega humbled Maricopa with an 82-53 victory. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Mountain View unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. The matchup between the Mountain Lions and Marana didn't end well, with the Mountain Lions falling 51-37. The game marked the Mountain Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Cienega will need to focus on slowing down Armando Santacruz, one of several Mountain View players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Anumba, who scored six points and 12 rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Cienega and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.5 points over those games. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Cienega was able to grind out a solid win over Mountain View in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 63-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
