Recap: North Woods grizzlies vs. Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers
It was a good run, but the North Woods grizzlies unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 95-80 fall against Mountain Iron-Buhl. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Friday (71), North Woods still had to take the loss.
Mountain Iron-Buhl got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tj Duchamp out in front who scored 27 points along with eight assists and two steals. That's the first time this season that Duchamp posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Chris King, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds.
North Woods' loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Mountain Iron-Buhl, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
North Woods will head out on the road to face off against Fond du Lac Ojibwe O at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain Iron-Buhl, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Greenway at 7:00 p.m. Greenway will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 255th, while Mountain Iron-Buhl is ranked 116th).
